Goal: to memorize 13 Bible verses from April 2 through June 25 (one verse a week for thirteen weeks).

Accountability: find at least one other person in the congregation to share your verses with on a weekly basis, at church on Sunday, through the week, etc. Also be prepared to recite verses at various church meetings.

The Verses:

Colossians 4:6 (April 2) [memorize]
Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

Ephesians 4:29 (April 9) [memorize]
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

1 Timothy 4:12 (April 16) [memorize]
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.

Matthew 12:36 (April 23) [memorize]
But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment.
